Dr. Tamim Umran is an orthopaedic surgeon with clinical interests in hip and knee reconstructive arthroplasty, including primary and revision procedures. His practice also includes hip and knee replacement surgery, non-operative care for knee arthritis with bracing and injection therapies, orthopaedic trauma surgery, and medico-legal orthopaedic assessments.
A board-certified and qualified medical expert in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Umran provides clear, neutral, and defensible IME reports for musculoskeletal conditions involving the hip, knee, and orthopaedic trauma.
Dr. Umran is qualified as a medical expert in orthopaedic surgery by the BC Supreme Court. He has maintained an active clinical practice treating patients with hip and knee degenerative and traumatic conditions.
He currently serves as Division Head of Arthroplasty at St. Paul’s Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Umran has previously served as Lead Physician for the Trauma and Acute Access Service Program at Providence Health Care and continues to advocate for advancing hip and knee reconstruction in British Columbia.
